          BIRTHDAY:      January 16
          GREW UP IN:    west Texas
          APPEARANCES:  August 65 - February 66

Gwen Selvage
grew up in a small town in west Texas as an Army brat.  After her father was transferred to California she completed her high school years at Edwards Air Force Base before heading off to study drama at the infamous Pasadena Playhouse.
She then moved to Hollywood to pursue a career in film.  Soon after the move a friend asked her to tag along to an open audition for a dancer on HOLLYWOOD A GO-GO.  The rest is history, as she was quickly chosen from a group of several hundred hopefuls.

She was one of the core group of GAZZARRI'S and can be seen on many of the episodes.  On our video links page check her out as the dancer featured in front of the Knickerbockers during their performance of "Lies", and also on the Miracles "Mickey's Monkey" performance.
There is also a great look at GWEN during the intro to The Bees "Leave Me Be" (see our YouTube page for these links).

After the end of HOLLYWOOD A GO-GO in early 1966 she went on with fellow dancer JUNE WILSON to appear on Playboy After Dark.  Gwen also had exposure as a successful model with a major modeling agency.  She did a lot of print work and ads for magazines and can be seen in ads for Marlboro cigarettes and Annie Greensprings wine amongst others.

Gwen had a role in the Michael Douglas movie "The Laughing Policeman" and a little known fact about her is that she was a stand-in for actress Sharon Tate.  Today Gwen is alive and well and living in southern California.
